Where It All Began (2023) In 2023, BreezeStay wasn't a company. It wasn't a startup. It wasn't even a website. It was simply an idea. Like many students and working professionals, I saw how difficult it was to find short-term accommodation in India — high brokerage fees, unverified listings, long lock-in periods, endless phone calls, hidden charges, and no transparency. One question kept coming back: "Why should finding a temporary home be this difficult?" That question became the beginning of BreezeStay. Learning Before Building Instead of writing code right away, I spent months understanding the problem — researching the rental market, studying existing platforms, and talking with students, professionals, and property owners. The clearer insight: people didn't need another listing site. They needed a platform they could trust. Three Years of Wearing Every Hat Building BreezeStay meant becoming founder, product manager, designer, developer, DevOps engineer, database architect, security engineer, QA tester, and customer support — often all in the same week. Modules were rebuilt, schemas redesigned, and the UX iterated countless times because nothing was ever "final." Building More Than Just Software Over time, BreezeStay has grown into a full ecosystem: verified listings, flexible stay durations, secure authentication, role-based access, an admin dashboard, automated notifications, audit logging, and scalable cloud infrastructure — all built with one goal: create something that can grow with India.
