Why BreezeStay Charges Zero Brokerage
The traditional broker model charges renters 1-2 months' rent for a single introduction. Here's how BreezeStay removes that cost entirely.
In most Indian rental markets, finding a home means paying a broker one to two months' rent just to get a phone number and a viewing. That fee has nothing to do with the quality of the home, the length of your lease, or the service you actually receive — it's a toll for access to a listing, and it's paid whether or not the broker does any real work after the introduction.
BreezeStay removes that cost structure entirely. Renters connect directly with hosts. There is no middleman fee for browsing, contacting an owner, or booking a stay. The platform's revenue comes from a transparent platform fee charged at booking (currently ₹399 for KYC-verified renters, ₹649 for unverified accounts) — a fixed, disclosed cost instead of a percentage-based broker commission that scales with rent.
Hosts pay a tiered commission on completed bookings instead of an upfront listing fee, which means BreezeStay only earns when a real booking happens — not for simply hosting a listing page.
This isn't a marketing angle. It's a structural difference: brokerage is a fee for an introduction; BreezeStay's fee is for the verification, dispute support, and digital agreement infrastructure that actually continues after you move in.
